Reba McEntire And Melissa Peterman Say Now Is The Right Time For Their On Screen Reunion

Hey Reba fans, guess what? The iconic duo, Melissa Peterman and Reba McEntire are finally reuniting after more than a decade! The two stars spoke to PEOPLE magazine on the Emmy’s red carpet last week about their new sitcom, Happy’s Place and what makes this new comedy show so special.

“I think that the chemistry that we have, that dynamic, it’s there, so we’re bringing that to Happy’s Place,” Peterman said. She goes on to talk about her and McEntire’s dynamic and why this sitcom finally feels right for both of them.

“We have new characters, it’s a new situation, so the chemistry is still there. It’s that same dynamic that people want to see. We talked about it, that we’ve been waiting a long time, and this time feels right. It feels like we were waiting for the right cast, the right time, and we’re ready.”

Happy’s Place will air more than a decade after their beloved show Reba ended in 2007. When asked about the audition process later on, on the red carpet, Reba joked about seeing Peterman in line. “When we were auditioning everybody, she happened to be at the front of the line, I don’t know why she was,”  Peterman playfully responded with, “Wait – you auditioned other people? I’m just hearing this for the first time. I thought you’d been waiting to reunite with me for decades!”

Happy’s Place premieres on NBC October 18 at 8/7c. We can’t wait to tune in and watch these beloved actresses reunite once again and see magic happen.
