This Chicken Parmesan Casserole is a simple dish that the entire family will adore.
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb rigatoni pasta
- 1 jar (32 oz) marinara sauce
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese, grated and divided
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 4-6 frozen breaded chicken tenders, thawed
Instructions for Chicken Parmesan Casserole
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rigatoni for 1 minute less than the package instructions. Drain and return to the pot.
- Add the marinara sauce, 1/3 of the Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella to the pot. Toss everything together and set aside.
- Cut the thawed chicken tenders into strips.
- Layer half of the rigatoni mixture in the prepared baking dish. Add half of the chicken strips, sprinkle with 1/3 of the Parmesan cheese, and top with 1 cup of mozzarella.
- Layer the remaining rigatoni on top. Add the remaining chicken strips and sprinkle the rest of the Parmesan and mozzarella on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is browned and crispy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, serve, and enjoy!
