This Saturday and Sunday, join us at the Southern Living Idea House for a weekend of adorable pups and inspiring architecture and design. Southern Living, in partnership with Pedigree and the Charleston Animal Society, is hosting an adoption weekend at the 2024 Southern Living House in Kiawah River, the newly-developed coastal community in Johns Island, South Carolina.
Meet your new four-legged family member as you tour this thoughtfully-crafted Sea Island farmhouse, where modern design beautifully complements the rustic charm of the Lowcountry.

The Charleston Animal Society will bring a variety of dogs hoping to find their forever home. All dogs have been spay-neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, ensuring they’re healthy and prepared to start their new lives with loving families.
The adoption event will take place Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, October 6 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased in order to tour the home and attend the adoption event (available here). A portion of the proceeds will support local organizations.
The Southern Living Idea House is located at 3008 Eventide Drive, John’s Island, SC 29455 in Johns Island, South Carolina. It is open for tours now through December 22.
