For The First Time In 10 Years, Uncrustables Announce Brand New Flavor

As every parent or grandparent who has cut the crusts off a sandwich knows, kids can be picky when it comes to PB&J. And don’t get them started on crunchy versus creamy peanut butter or the superiority of grape over strawberry jam.

But it might be time to mix things up, because Uncrustables has opened up the possibilities with a new jelly flavor—raspberry—for the first time in 10 years.

“Uncrustables were born from a simple, yet powerful goal: make snack and mealtimes stress free,” Chris Achenbach, marketing director at J.M. Smucker Co., stated in a press release. “New flavors that excite kids, convenient options for adults on-the-go—it’s all about delivering deliciousness, no matter how busy life gets.”

Smuckers’ Uncrustables are, of course, crust-free, and come in both white and wheat options. The new raspberry flavor uses white bread and has a filling of seedless raspberry spread and creamy peanut butter. Uncrustables are available in the freezer aisle in four and 10-pack boxes, ready to make life easy when you forget to pack lunch or need to give hungry kids a quick snack.

The company points out that they now have a line-up that means you can try out a different flavor every day of the school week. The original Uncrustables flavors of strawberry, grape, honey, and chocolate-hazelnut are still available (you can buy plain peanut butter, too). And you don’t have to thaw Uncrustables in advance—they’ll do that in the lunchbox in 30 to 60 minutes. And when the kids get tired of PB&J, we’ve got plenty of ideas for easy meals to pack in the lunchbox.
